On a sunny Sunday 9 members of the LFG enjoyed a iwalk in and around Forest Row village voted in 2003 the third poshest village in England.
We began along the footpath opposite the Chequers Inn walking towards the newly planted woodland alongside Burnthouse Farm.
Continuing towards Weirwood Reservoir, at the behest of one member, we decided to take a look at the reservoir, but unfortunately we found ourselves on the wrong side of a locked gate, so only got to see the bottom of the dam! We retraced our steps, then we crossed a field and made our way to the ruins of Brambletyre Manor, the one time home of William the Conqueror 's brother. Half a mile along we joined the Forest Way, formally the old railway track, and arrived back in the village. Thankfully the conditions underfoot were not too bad. The walk was led by Clare.
