Welcome to Lewes Footpaths Group

 

We are a friendly walking group that arranges a regular programme of walks, social events, coach outings, and holidays for members.

We are based in the lovely county town of Lewes in East Sussex and have produced books of walks in our local region.

We hope you enjoy this site and will join us, not only here on the web, but also on our walks.

A passion for the outdoors 

We organise a range of rambles throughout the year, from easy strolls to more challenging hikes. We mainly walk in East and West Sussex but we also have day trips throughout the Southeast. Along with our rambles we do walking holidays, both in the British Isles and abroad. We also offer a range of social events, from lunches and dinners to guest speaker evenings.

 

 

 

 

 

Reporting a Footpath Problem

 

If you wish to report a problem with a right of way, please send full details, accompanied by a photograph if possible, to the Footpaths Secretary by e-mail to report@lewesfootpathsgroup.org.uk   (Please describe the problem and identify the location of the footpath). We will deal with the problem ourselves or pass the information on to ESCC or to the Monday Group, who do a great job of mending stiles, gates and fences, and clearing overgrown footpaths.
